- Constantinus Manasses, Breviarium Chronicum (TLG 3074.005), ff 3-163, with marginal corrections (ff 3-22) in a western 16th-17th century hand which also supplied f 163. Imperfect from around line 5654, ff 137-162 having suffered progressively greater losses to the lower right. Prologue inc. ῾Η μὲν φιλόϋλος ψυχὴ ταῖς ὕλαις ἐπιχάσκει. Text inc. ῾Ο τοῦ Θεοῦ παντέλειος καὶ παντοκτίστωρ λόγος. Preceded by a fragment of a leaf of a late 14th-century Latin noted Missal, f 1r, and a 17th-century Latin title, f 2 v.

Lower margin of f 3 excised, probably to remove a mark of ownership.
Sir Robert Cotton (1571-1631), antiquary and politician, probably owned by him and transferred to the Royal Library c. 1616, together with Royal MS 16 C xxiii and 16 C xxv (see Tite 1997).
