Richard 'Dutch' Thomson (d. 1613), philologist and Church of England clergyman: acquired from him by Sir Robert Cotton (see Harley MS 6018, f 159v; 'Ro: Cotton Bruceus', f 2r), as in the case of the `Codex Galeanus', Cambridge, Trinity College, MS O.3.9 (see Tite 1997, pp. 266, 289-90).
Sir Robert Cotton (b. 1571, d. 1631), antiquary and politician.
Transferred to the Royal Library c. 1616, together with probably Royal 16 C VII and 16 C XXV (see Harley 6018, f 159v; Add 35213, f 34).

Presented to the British Museum by George II in 1757 as part of the Old Royal Library.
