- 'La sirène'. Overture. [1868]. Overture to 'La sirène', comic opera in 3 acts, libretto by Eugène Scribe. Orchestral parts. Name added to the parts, 'E Barrett'. At the end of the ripieno violin part is written 'Nov 1st /68. N.Y.Y.N. Cartle'. With one printed first violin part, published by Hawkes & Co. in the series 'Musical progress' (between 1865 and 1875). The opera was first performed in Paris on 26 March 1844. It was performed in rival English versions (as 'The Syren') in London, at the Princess's Theatre and Drury Lane Theatre, in October 1844.
- 'Le Duc d'Olonne'. [1860s?] Overture to 'Le Duc d'Olonne', comic opera, libretto by Eugène Scribe and Xavier Boniface Saintine. Orchestral parts. Name added to all parts, 'E Barrett'. The opera was first performed in Paris on 4 Feb 1842, and received its first London performance at the Princess's Theatre on 14 April 1845.
- 'La barcarole'. Overture. [after 1845]. Overture to 'La Barcarole', comic opera in 3 acts, libretto by Eugène Scribe. Orchestral parts. With markings in pencil. Title on parts, 'Ov. La Barcarolle'. Name added to all parts, 'E Barrett'. The bassoon part is printed, published by E Troupenas in 1845, with plate number 1744. The opera was first performed in Paris on 22 April 1845. (The overture was played at M Jullien's concerts at the Theatre Royal, Covent Garden, in 1845).
- 'Le premier jour de bonheur'. Overture. [1868]. Overture to 'Le premier jour de bonheur', comic opera in 3 acts, libretto by Adolphe Dennery and Eugène Cormon. Orchestral parts, including violin conductor. Some printed parts, published by Léon Escudier, 1868, with plate number 2906. With markings in pencil and blue pencil. Title on conductor 'Le Premier Jour de Bonneur'. The opera was first performed in Paris on 15 Feb 1868.
- 'Le Dieu et la Bayadere'. [1860s?]. Orchestral parts (viola and 2nd Cornet). Also includes full set of printed parts: Overture 'Le Dieu et la Bayadere', arranged by J.C. Van Maanen. Published by Boosey & Co. London.Arrangements. Auber, Boieldieu and Hérold overtures. [c1855]. Printed, 'Ouvertures choisies pour piano à 4 mains de Auber, Boieldieu, Hérold'. Published by Henry Litolff as 'Collection Litolff' no. 198, with plate numbers 3349, 3350, 3351, 3352, 3353.
