Grant by John Hoght senior, to his son Richard of a cottage and half a bovate of land in the vill and fields of Hognaston, lying between the place of the lord king on the one part, and the place of William Wylde on the other part, and abutting on the croft of William More on the north and the king's highway on the south; and one croft called Mapultone croft abutting on Rawneseryche on the one part and on Harrylowne on the other part and lying between the land of Richard Eyre on the north and the place of the abbey of Rocester on the south; and one rood lying in le fenisloght between the land of Thomas Mason on the one part and the land of the said abbey on the other part; and a quarter of half a rood lying upon Medobuttus and abutting on Ryddyngs and on Brodmede; and two roods lying at Asshewallrow between the land of John Hoght on the one part, and land called Ryddyngs on the other part; and one half rood lying in the small meadow between the land of Thomas Mason on the one part, and land of Richard Alsoppe on the other part; and one half rood lying in Croswalbuttus between the land of Richard Alsoppe on each side; the said Richard paying an annual rent of 2d. at Michaelmas to John Hoght, brother of the said John Hoght senior. Dated at Hognaston, co. Derby.
