Indenture of covenant made between Robert Cowper and Roger Cocken, and Joan Grevis [Greaves] and George Held, all of Beeley, for the occupation of certain land belonging to their tenements for as long as they occupy and dwell in the said tenaments (if their landlords be content), namely, first that the said Joan shall have from the said George a headland lying at Burchen Diche and land lying in Showlebrodes next to the far side from Beley Bottone, 2 lands of the Whitt Redes, and lands lying by the gate that the hedge stands on, and 3 butts in the 'mantell' side, and in exchange the said George shall have from the said Joan Grevis 2 lands in the south field lying at the Old Greve. and a butt at the Wodde field, and another in the Brouck furlong, 2 lands at the Closse gape, a butt in the ditch in Neither fold, 2 butts at the Short hedge, a butt in the croft; and in witness to the same have set their seals.
