Grant for life by Richard de Brampton, chaplain of Brampton, and John de Hynckurcell of Chesterfield, chaplain, to Thomas de Hope of Brampton, of all lands and tenements pertaining to the land called Campions, which they had by feoffment of the said Thomas in the vill and territory of Brampton in the Templars' fee, to hold for life of Fosse abbey at an annual rent to the nuns of 6s.; reversion after the death of the said Thomas to Roger, son of John dil Frith and his wife Catherine and the legitimate heirs of their bodies, to hold of the abbey as above; reversion in default of issue to John dil Frith, father of the said Roger. During his life Thomas may cut down all wood of any kind growing on the property except trees growing in the gardens of the said tenements and on the ditches of the said gardens; and he shall also maintain the said tenements in good repair.
