- Tongue, Red wax, large, pointed oval; the Abbot with jewelled mitre, in the right hand a book, in the left an ornamented pastoral staff, standing in a finely carved and canopied niched, with elaborate tabaernacle work on brackets at the sides, on which are shields of arms: left quarterly, 1, 4, Francee (Ancient), 2, 3, England; right, wolf's head erased, for Hugh Lupus, 2nd earl of Chester. Inscription, ....... SCE : WERBURGE : CHESTR : ; damaged and repaired. Used by Henry de Sutton, abbot of St Werburgh, Chester.
