Grant by Walter [de Senteney], the abbot, and the convent of Stanley Park (otherwise Dale abbey), to Richard Venator, the Forester or Hunter, of the 'landa' (open grassland), in the wood of Morwood, where once hermits were accustomed to live, and a piece of land, 2 acres in width, between that open grassland and the dwelling-house of Walter Faber, or the Smith, with common pasture for 6 oxen and 4 cows with offspring up to 3 years, for one sow with offspring of one year, and for one mare and 50 ewes in the common pasture of Stretton, with 'husbote' and 'haibote' in the common wood of Stretton by view of the foresters; annual rent, half a mark.
