Bond, in £20, by John Bate and Richard Bate of Ashbourne, to Laurence Lowe, with a clause that, because their seals are unknown to many, the bond is also sealed with the seals of John Clerk, vicar of Ashbourne, Richard Boys, and Thomas Metheley, prior of Beauvale, co. Nott.The condition of the bond is that if the said Laurence has peaceful possession of lands in Underwood Offcote and Underwood meadow, onetime belonging to John Lymester, the same shall be void.
