Memorandum of an agreement by Godfrey Bradshawe of Bradshaw, co. Derby, gentleman, with [George Talbot], earl of Shrewsbury, to settle his all lands after his death on his eldest son Francis Bradshawe and his heirs male (and in default of such issue to the right heirs male of the said Godfrey) before midsummer next coming; and the said Godfrey agrees that that all such lands in Eyam as shall come to the said Francis in the right of his wife Anne, daughter of Humfrey Stafford, shall be exchanged with the earl of Shrewsbury for lands of equal value elsewhere in Derbyshire within one year after the division of his lands amongst the daughters of Humfrey Stafford; and the said Godfrey agrees to make a general release to the said earl for the receipt of all such goods as the said Francis may claim in the right of his wife Anne; and also the said Godfrey agrees to pay to Robert Eyre, gentleman, 'so muche for costes of Lawe as my lorde shall adjudge' before midsummer next.
