Scope & Content:

Agreement, by the mediation of John Delves esquire and Robert Hyll, whereby Nicholas Mountgomery esquire grants to Thomas Meverell esquire the manor of Rodsley, in exchange for the lordship of Mackley; and on the production by the said Thomas of a deed of confirmation of the said manor by Nicholas Mountgomery, father of the abovesaid Nicholas, he shall receive an annuity of 4 marks out of the same Mackley; but in default of the production such deed, then the said Nicholas is to pay an annuity of 40s. to Nicholas Meverell, son of the said Thomas, out of the manor of Rodsley.
