Grant, for an entry-fine of 22s., by Roger, son and heir of Walter le Chambereys [Chambers], lord of Bearwardcote and Burnaston, to Walter Truttok of Burnaston, of the yearly rent of 2s. and an arrow which the grantor had been accustomed to receive from the grantee for a tenement he held of him in the fee of Burnaston, that is, 12d. at Palm Sunday and at St Martin the bishop, and the arrow at Michaelmas; annual rent, a peppercorn, and reserving only foreign service, namely 3d. yearly at 'tolnetum de Tutteburi' (baron-toll), and 3d, 'ad le Schirrevestur (county-tax) et ad palefridum' (palfrey silver, a form of sheriff's aid), and scutage 'quando currit' (when it occurs), namely, 2s. 6d.
