Grant from Sir Nicholas de Stafford, knight, James Foliaumbe, Robert Jeweson of Tunstead, Henry Alisaundre and Robert Sharpe, chaplains, Roger Machon of Tideswell, and Henry del Tounesend of Litton, to John Smyth and John Redymone, chaplains, of 12 messuages and 200 acres of land in Wormhill, Tideswell and Litton, to found a chantry at the altar of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the church of St John the Baptist of Tideswell, with 2 chaplains, to offer prayers for the souls of King Edward [III], of King Richard II, of Anne [of Bohemia], Queen of England, of John [of Gaunt], Duke of Aquitaine and Lancaster, of William de Aston, his chancellor, of John Foliaumbe, John, son of Henry de Monyasshe, Henry de Tiddeswell, John Alisaundre, Elizabeth, wife of the said Nicholas de Stafford, Roger Foliaumbe [Foljambe], Thomas, son of Godfrey Foliaumbe [Foljambe], knights, John de Stafford, senior, Thurstan de la Boure, and Margaret his wife, and Margaret his mother, the brothers and sisters of the Gild of St Mary of Tideswell, the parents of the said Elizabeth, and Maud, wife of John Alisaundre; includes regulations for the chaplains, such as distribution of 40d. to paupers on the Morrow of All Souls, and that the 'aldermanni' of the Gild are to assent to the removal of a priest if he acts against the Gild's statutes.
