Exemplification by Charles [I] of an Inquisition taken at Chesterfield, co. Derby, before Robert Royston esquire, escheator for the county of Derby, on the death of Robert Mower of Millthorpe in the said county, yeoman, by the oaths of John Gregory, gentleman, George Turner, Humphrey Brelsford, Robert Stanley, William Shawe, Francis Clay, William Stanford, Robert Turner, James Cooper, Roger Stubbing, Richard Sprentall, Francis Bunting and John Turner, 'worthy men', who say that the said Robert was seised of a manor with capital messuage in Barlow Woodseats and in 9s. 9d. in rents, and lands in Barlow Woodseats and in Coldaston in the parish of Dronfield, in Brampton, Wigley and Millthorpe; and that Arthur Mower is his son and next heir and at the time of the death of the said Roger his father was aged 21 years or more; and that the manor of Barlow Woodseats and lands in Barlow and Dronfield were held of William, earl Mansfield of his manor of Barlow, in socage, lands in Coldaston were held of Sir Peter Fretchvile, knight, and lands in Brampton and Wigley of the heirs of Hugh Linacre.Examined by us, J.
