Covenant from Ralph Blackwall of Dethick, co. Derby, esquire, and Wennesley Blackwall, gentleman, his son and heir apparent, and Martha, his wife, for the sum of £2540 to be received from Sir John Manners of Nether Haddon, co. Derby, knight, Roger Colombell of Darley, co. Derby, esquire, and Richard Senyor [signs] of Bridgetown in the parish of Darley, the younger, yeoman, to levy a Fine to John Pott, Roger Roe and Thomas Gestroppe, gentlemen, of certain messuages, including those in the tenure of John Alcock and William Deane and of certain closes, including those in the tenure of the said Wennesley, Richard Senyor, Richard Creswell, Leonard Creswell, Thomas Warde, Thomas Addams, Agnes Addams, widow, John Alcock, Reynold Barnes and William Keynes, in Wensley and Darley, together with a moiety of the manor of Wensley; warranty by the said Ralph, Wennesley and Martha, for themselves and for heirs of Richard Wennesley esquire, grandfather of the said Wennesley Blackwall, to the use, as to two-fourths of the said premises to the said Richard Senyor the younger, as to one-fourth to the said Sir John Manners, and as to the other one-fourth, to the use of the said Roger Columbell for his life and then to the use of Francis, Roger and George Columbell, younger sons of the said Roger, and to their heirs male, in remainder to Godfrey Columbell, gentleman, another younger son of the said Roger, and then to Peter Columbell, gentleman, son and heir apparent of the said Roger the father, and then to the right heirs of the same Roger.
