Conveyance by Nicholas Allen of Woodhouse in the parish of Youlgreave, co. Derby, gentleman, to Barbara Allen, of the same place, widow, mother of the said Nicholas, a close or parcel of land called the Sare Carre, with all trees, woods and undergrowth lying in the same close, being in the lordship of Stanton in the said parish of Youlgreave.

Endorsements: 'Be it knowne unto all men to whome the present writeinge shall appeare that I do appoynt John Heald & my brother Richard to be my lawfull attornies & to give possession to my mother for me & in my name of as much as ys conteined in this present writtinge. 'Possession and seisin of the close and all other the premises within written, was taken and delivered by the abovenamed John Heald and Richard Allen unto the within named Barbara Allen the 21st day of September in the first year of the reign of James, in the presence of: Thomas Knyveton, Robert Sternedale, Thomas Asshburne and Richard Hally - Robert Sternedalle, his mark; Tho. Asshburne, his mark. The deeds of the Sare Carre from Nicholas Allen to Barbara Allen his mother.
