Grant, for £63.6s.8d. from George Gyfford esquire to Thomas Alen of Woodhouse, co. Derby, yeoman, of tithes of sheaves, corn, grain and hay and others, called Byrchore tithes, now or late in the tenure of John Columbell in the parish of Youlgreave, and which came to him from Edward Watson of Rockingham, co. Northt., esquire and Henry Herdson, citizen and skinner of London by their deed dated 6 May, 1 Edward VI, 1548, to hold of the king of his honor of Grafton, co Northt, paying therefore an annual rent of 3s. 4d. Power of Attorney to William Nedham [Needham] and Richard Wennysley, esquires, to deliver seisin.
