Lease, for the remainder of a term of 99 years, by Thomas Gregson, of Dronfield, co. Derby, gentleman, to Francis Stones, of Wirksworth, co. Derby, mercer, of the office of 'prima pars Agard', and of and in the liberty of bailiwick of 'prima pars Agard' and of the offices of Feodary and Bailiff in fee, escheastor, clerk of the Market and Coroner in all places within the honor of Tutbury which extends into the several counties of Stafford, Derby, Nottingham, Leicester and Warwick, the manor of Newbold in the county of Leicester with the rents issues profitts members and appurtenances (save only what shall arise therefrom by fees from weights and measures) only excepted, all which offices Charles Stanhope of Elvaston, co. Derby, esquire had demised to Henry Gregson, father of the said Thomas Gregson, for 99 years, by his deed dated 2 September 6 George II, and which the said Charles Stanhope had also demised to the said Thomas Gregson at a rent of a peppercorn, for a term of 99 years to commence at the death of the said Henry Gregson, and whereas the said Henry is long since dead, the said Thomas is now entitled to the said premises; rent, a peppercorn.
