Sale, by George Hopkinson of Ible, co. Derby, gentleman, to Richard Faucett [Fawcett] of Wirksworth, co. Derby, gentleman, by and with the consent of Anne, the wife of the said Richard Faucett, being the daughter of Richard Buxton, deceased, and of Margaret now the wife of the said George Hopkinson, and in consideration of £200, of the moiety of one half of 2 watercorn mills, both under one roof and being within the town of Wirksworth aforesaid, and of the moiety of a barn standing near the said mills, now or late in the tenture of one [left blank] , and also the moiety of the watercorn mill and mills being in the parish or lordship of Wirksworth commonly called Ludway Mill or Ludway Mills, and the moiety of all the close or meadow called Mill meadow and the barn and kiln standing thereon, and of one other close or croft called Whitehead croft, and the moiety of one other close called the Pringle on the Green, together with all houses, suit of mill, etc. of the same premises, to the use as to one-third of the said moiety to the said George and Margaret his wife for the life of the said Margaret, then to the use of the said Richard Faucett, and as to the other two-thirds of the said moiety, to the use of the same Richard.
