Sale by Ralph Gregg of Clement's Inn, co. Midd., gentleman, to Richard Jenkinson of Walton, co. Derby, yeoman, at the direction of Ralph Fletcher of Walton, co. Derby, gentleman, and in consideration of 5s., the moiety of the manor of Walton, and of the capital messuage of the said manor and of the park or enclosed grounds commonly called the Park, containing 1500 acres, and of all the mills in the said manor, and of all the messuages and other lands, together with view of frankpledge and other feudal dues thereto belonging, which by a deed of Sale dated 17 May 1650 and enrolled in the court of Chancery were jointly purchased by the said Paul Fletcher and Ralph Gregg from Sir Arthur Ingram, late of Templenewsam, co. York, and Dame Katherine his wife (excepting out of this present sale all such houses whereof the said Ralph Gregg by the direction of the said Paul Fletcher and with the said Paul have joined to Hercules Claye and John Bateman, gentlemen, William Fletcher, yeoman, Gabriel East, tanner, Edward Crawshawe, butcher of Chesterfield, co. Derby, Edward Hurst, John Holland, Thomas Bower, Richard Jenkinson, Anthony Brough, Thomas Skelton of Walton, Thomas Heath, Ralph Heath, Christopher Elam, Thomas Gladwin the elder, Thomas Gladwin the younger, John Brailsford, John Bludworth and George Shawe, yeomen).
