Grant, by way of Marriage Settlement, by James Winfield of Alderwasley, co. Derby, yeoman, to Paul Tayler of Ashbourne, co. Derby, mercer, and Anthony Wood of Alderwasley aforesaid, yeoman, in consideration of the marriage already solemnised between the said James and Millicent, daughter of Ann Booth of Carsington, co. Derby, widow, and to provide a jointure for the said Millicent, of his messuage in Alderwasley in his own occupation, and all those closes in Aldewasley called Ryefield, the Long Close, the Nether Flat and Cowpasture, together with all his freehold land, and also one pingle in Wirksworth called Little Stadfold with one and half acres ajoining, and 2 other pingles in Wirksworth called Little Stone Croft and Leadmonstie, and 2 pieces in the Northfield called le Crosspeeces and all belonging to the same, to hold to the use of the said James Winfield and Millicent his wife.
