Assignment by Kellam Marfeild of Ashover, co. Derby, husbandman, to Thomas Gladwin the younger, of 'Edgleston[Eddlestow]Hall', in the parish of Ashover, co. Derby, gentleman, of a messuage now or late in the tenure of John Crofte with a cowhouse, stable and part of a barn, with sould or soulds, garden and orchard, for an unexpired portion of 99 years, of which which messuage and lands, wherein Alice Greenhaugh, widow, then dwelt, Thomas Heshall late of Checkley, co. Chesh., esquire, deceased, by his Indenture dated 20 March, 1 Charles I (1626), granted to the said Kellam for 21 years, and which the said Thomas Heshall and Bridget his wife by Indenture of Lease dated 12 October, 7 Charles I, and for £20, demised at a yearly rent of £8.10s. to the said Kellam for the term of 99 years if they the said Kellam Marfeild, and Thomas Marfeild and Kellam Marfeild his now sons shall so long live; annual rent, a peppercorn.
