Grant by John Croft, burgess of the town of Cambridge, to John Woode, clerk, and Alice Croft, daughter of the said John Croft, of a messuage in Cambridge in the parish of All Saints lying between the messuage of the vicar of the parish church of All Saints on the one part, and the messuage of Henry Grombald [Grymbold], baker, on the other part, and which abutts on one headland on the king's highway and on the other headland onto the messuage of the said John Crofte, which messuage the said John Croft, together with Henry Cossey, and the said John Woode, John Wyghton [Wighton], John Hundreder and Richard Ade, had of the grant of John Fylay, clerk, as contained in a charter dated at Cambridge 23 January 49 Henry VI, after the Readeption, and in which messauge the same Henry Cossey, clerk, John Woode, clerk, John Wyghton and John Hundreder released all their right and title to the said John Croft as more plainly appears in a deed dated 14 June 12 Edward IV (1472). Dated Cambridge.
