Lease [Counterpart], for £35 and 7 years, from John Greaves of Woodhouse, co. Derby, esquire, to Thomas Statham of Tansley in the parish of Crich, co. Derby, baker, of his capital messuage in Beeley, and the closes lying together called the Howhoe, Hall Flatt, Greaves Hill, Ballgreaves, White Acres, White Acres Bottom, Newe Close and Ould Halfe Acres, and also 2 closes lying together called Shaw Meadow and Malkin Greaves with the barns thereon, and also those closes now or late in the occupation of John Taylor with the house thereon, together with all pertaining thereto now or late in the tenure of the said John Greaves, all which houses and closes lie in the lordship of Beeley, co. Derby; annual rent, £39, and the said John covenants to pay one-half of any taxes levied on the same lands.
