Receipt by Thomas Savage of Castleton, co. Derby, gentleman, to William Bradsha and Godfrey Bradsha, both of Marple, co. Chest., yeoman, of the sum of £6.13s.4d. of 'gud Englesche money' at the high altar of Chapel en le Frith, to the use of Margaret Horn, daughter of Roger Horn late of Ashcop, parcel of 40 marks covenanted to be paid to the said Thomas to the use specified, which said 40 marks is agreed by the friends on both parts to be the whole payment due to the said Thomas Savage for the use of the said Margaret in full satisfaction of all goods, child's part and marriage goods assigned to the said Margaret by her father, mother or any other friend before the date hereof, and also in satisfaction of all lands, jointures, widow's third part or any other thing.
