Covenant by Francis Bradshawe of Bradshaw, co. Derby, esquire, to Sir Peter Leigh of Lymm, co. Chest., knight, Peter Bradshawe of London, merchant taylor, and Harry Bradshawe, the younger, of Marple, co. Chest., gentleman, in consideration of the affection the said Francis has for his brothers and 'others of his kinred' hereafter named and for the better establishment of his estates, that he will on or before the feast of Easter next coming at his own costs make a sure conveyance of the towns, townships and lands of Abney, Hope, Eyam, Foolow, Great Hucklow, Longstone, Monyash, Bowden, Bradshaw Edge, Chapel en le Frith, and elsewhere in the said county of Derby, to the use of the said Francis and the heirs of his body, and in default to the use of Humfrey Bradshawe, brother of the said Francis, for his life and then successively to his first, second and third sons and their heirs male, then to George Bradshawe, another brother of the said Francis, and his sons and their heirs male, then to Peter Bradshawe, party hereof, uncle to the said Francis, for his life, and then to the use of Francis (the now third son of the said Peter) and his heirs male, then to Edward Bradshawe, eldest son of the said Peter and his heirs male, then to the Peter Bradshawe, second son of the said Peter the elder, and his heirs male, then to Paul, fourth son of the said Peter and his heirs male, then to the next and eldest son of the said Peter, then to the use of Henry Bradshawe, party hereof, and his heirs male, and lastly to the right heirs of the said Francis Bradshawe.
