Copy of Commission from queen Elizabeth to William Agard, Francis Fitzherberte, Lawrence Wright, John Bentley, Patrick Lowe of Denton, co. Derby, and Robert Withehall of Yeldersley, co. Derby, esquires, upon hearing of the matter in contention in Michaelmas term last past in the Court of Wards and Liveries between Francis Burnell esquire, lessee under the seal of the said Court of the lands of Henry Leigh, the queen's ward, son and heir of Thomas Leigh esquire, deceased, and Francis Cooke, gentleman, to enquire into the value of certain hay and corn growing upon the lands of the said Henry, and to survey and divide the said lands according to the order of the said Court. Seal affixed by witness of Sir William Cecill, knight, Baron of Burghley, Lord High Treasurer of England and Master of the said Court of Wards and Liveries.[Signed] Hare.
