Grant by John Nedham senior, of Fernydale, co. Derby, yeoman, and John Nedham junior, his son and heir apparent, to [Aden Berrysforde, esquire, crossed out, and the following 8 words substituted above the line] George Hide of Fenny Bentley, co. Derby, yeoman, of a capital messuage called Fernydale, with all lands, and with the office of bailiff or forester within the soke or parish of Hartington in the said county and all pertaining to the same messuage in Fernydale and in the fields of Earl Sterndale, co. Derby; and also a messuage in Crowdecote in the said county of Derby, with lands in the vill and fields of Crowdecote and Earl Sterndale aforesaid; and also 2 parcels of land called le Rowt Meadow and Pyssymore lands, and le Holme and le Clough, upon the king's highway, containing 7 acres of land and lying separately in the fields of Earl Sterndale, extending towards Aldersclyffe on the east side and towards the water of the Dove on the west; and also 2 capital messuages called Needham Grange, in co. Derby, with the lands belonging thereto. Power of Attorney to William Tatian and Robert Grene to deliver seisin, upon the conditions following, namely according to the indenture made between the said John and John and the said Aden [sic] that the said Aden will, on the feast of the Annunciation of Our Lady 1577 in the churchyard of the parish church of Fenny Bentley or before that date at the mansion house of the said Aden Beresford at Fenny Bentley aforesaid, pay the sum of £532.13s.4d. to the said John and John.
