Power of Attorney from Nicholas Thornhill of Bakewell, co. Derby, yeoman to William Eyre, and Thomas Bagshaw and Legh Bankes of Bakewell, gentlemen, to deliver seisin to Thomas Walker, yeoman (servant to William Eyre of Holme Hill, co. Derby, esquire), of lands in Thornhill and Hope, co. Derby, which the said Nicholas and Dorothy his wife had granted to the said Thomas Walker.
Dated as: 24 January, 2 James II, 1686
Endorsements: Sealed and delivered in the presence of : Legh Bankes, Thomas Eyre and John Ruddiard.Memorandum that on 6th April in the 4th year of the reign of King James the second etc., 1688, the within-named Legh Bankes did quiet and peaceable livery of seisin and possesion deliver to the within-named Thomas Salter of the messuages and lands within-mentioned, in the presence of : Edward Craighe, and Mary Wilson, her mark.
