FRANZ JOSEPH HAYDN: ‘Sinfonia in D’ (symphony no. 31, ‘mit dem Hornsignal’), for violin and ’cello obbligati, flute, 2 oboes, 4 horns, bassoon and strings; late 18th – early 19th cent. Parts. Copies, written in ink in the same hand throughout on paper ruled with ten staves to the page, with some performance annotations in pencil. Lacking the Menuetto. The title and list of instruments is written on the viola part (f. 1). Stamps of ‘Jul. Liebig’ and ‘F. Bowen’. With a leaf of ‘points about the parts’ in Tyson’s hand (f. 64).
