- Parchment. ff i+278. 112 x 75 (71 x 45) mm. Ruling Leroy 00D1, 17 lines (except ff 273v-277). Two illuminated headpieces (ff 1, 103v). 16 illuminated and 1 decorated (f 149) initials in Western style; blank space on f 120v; illuminated B once on leaf now missing after f 221 (see reverse off et, f 221v; imprint, f 222). One miniature of Nathan before David executed in Byzantine style of 2nd half of 12th cent. on an inserted leaf (f 67v) is roughly cut at the right and lower edges and was apparently once part of a larger leaf bearing a larger illustration. Gilt-tooled red morocco covers in 'Harleian' style by Elliott (Nixon 'Harleian bindings' pp.170, 189 n.40) pasted inside B.M. binding (1887).
