ff. 1-172v: Psalms 1-150 in parallel Greek, Latin and Arabic versions. The Arabic version was translated from the Greek by Abu'l-Fath 'Abdallāh ibn al-Fadl ibn 'Abdallāh al-Mutrān al-Antaki, deacon of the Melkite church of Antioch in the mid 11th cent.
f. 173r: The Supernumerary Psalm 151 in parallel Greek, Latin and Arabic versions followed by the Doxology in Latin only.
f. 173v: [Anno] I[ncar]nationis dominice m c liii Indictione [I] mensis Januarii die octavo die mercurii followed by a Greek list of books and some notes in Latin and Italian by 15th cent. hand.
f. 174r: Various notes by Thomas Birch (b. 1705, d. 1766), William Watson (b. 1715, d. 1787) and Francis Douce (b. 1757, d. 1834) relating to the date of the manuscript.

Ruling: Leroy (Les types de reglure des manuscrits grecs, Paris 1976), num. 04D3/34D3n, 28 lines.
Foliation: ff. [i], ii, 174 (where folios I-ii are parchment leaves; plus one unfoliated modern paper flyleaf at the beginning). Gatherings of 8, numbered a-y.
Decoration: Greek headpieces and initials. Latin initials and titles in red ink. Decorated initials on f. 12v.
Binding: Post-1600 Red leather gilt without tooling in the centre by Elliott (see: Nixon, 'Harleian bindings' (1975), pp. 170, 189 n. 40), with a B.M. Harley stamp at the centre of the covers.

The Harley Collection, formed by Robert Harley (b. 1661, d. 1724), 1st earl of Oxford and Mortimer, politician, and Edward Harley (b. 1689, d. 1741), 2nd earl of Oxford and Mortimer, book collector and patron of the arts, inscribed as usual by their librarian, Humfrey Wanley (b. 1672, d. 1726) '13 Sept. 1722' (f. ii).
Edward Harley bequeathed the library to his widow, Henrietta Cavendish, née Holles (b. 1694, d. 1755) during her lifetime and thereafter to their daughter, Margaret Cavendish Bentinck (b. 1715, d.1785), duchess of Portland; the manuscripts were sold by the Countess and the Duchess in 1753 to the nation for £10,000 (a fraction of their contemporary value) under the Act of Parliament that also established the British Museum; the Harley manuscripts form one of the foundation collections of the British Library.
