MISSALE SALISBURGENSE; circa 1160-1190. O.S.B. Pars aestivalis. With German neumes on a four-line stave, the Graduale with red F-line and yellow C-line. Several different hands. With four major initials and one whole-page illumination (f. 40v). A slip of parchment (f. 109) has been sewn to f. 108. Contents:— Kalendar, &c. (ff. 1v-8v); – Graduale (ff. 9-40); – Canon (ff. 40v-48v); – Appendix to Graduale (ff. 49-73); – Proser (partly with staffless neumes), &c. (ff. 73v-87v); – Vigil and seasonal masses (f. 88-128v); – Sacramentary (ff. 129-151v); – Main part of Lectionary (ff. 151v-180). f. 9 reproduced in Katalog der Musikbibliothek Paul Hirsch, iii (Frankfurt a/Main, 1936), pl. xxiii.
