7. ff. 43-50. ‘Divertimento’ (alternative title ‘Le Berger Amoreux’), for flute and violin; 1939. Scores in pencil (ff. 43-6) and ink (ff. 47-50). Dated 11 Nov. 1939 (ff. 43v, 46v), 10 Nov. 1939 (f. 45), Nov. 1939 (f. 48).

8. ff. 51-80. ‘Concert Rumba’, for two pianos, later orchestrated, in a slightly extended version; 1940-48. For a programme note by the composer, see MS Mus. 65, ff. 178-82. Version for two pianos published Lengnick, [1948]; reduced orchestration by Roy Douglas published Lengnick, [1951].
