MS Mus. 156. SUPPLEMENTARY VAUGHAN WILLIAMS MANUSCRIPTS. Vol. iv. ‘A Pastoral Symphony’; [1922-4]. Copyist’s full score, in ink, with autograph and other annotations. The autograph annotations include lists of instruments and minor corrections in pencil and ink throughout the score. In addition, there are several conducting marks in blue crayon. The score was subsequently used as the printer’s copy, and has been heavily annotated in pencil with engraver’s marks and corrections. The plate number ‘F. & B. G[oodwin]. 1.’ is written as it appears in the published score, though the score was in fact issued in September 1924 by J. Curwen & Sons. See Kennedy, pp. 86-90.
