E. RUTLAND BOUGHTON: ‘Songs of Womanhood’ (words, Christina Walshe), for voice and piano, op.33; April – July 1911. Autograph score in ink, with some pencil annotations. The third, fourth and fifth songs are written a tone higher than published. Add. 51006, ff. 6-15 is an arangement of the first, third and fourth songs for voice and strings, the first additionally with cor anglais, bassoons and harp. Published J. H. Larway, 1912. Purchased at Sotheby’s, 26 May 2000 (lot 42).
