MS Mus. 241. DAME ETHEL SMYTH: ‘Fête Galante, A Dance-Dream in One Act’ to a libretto by the composer after Maurice Baring’s story of that name, versified by Edward Shanks; [1922]. Vocal score. Copy, in ink, with stage directions, rehearsal letters and corrections in the composer’s hand. With a ‘Record of sendings to U[niversal] E[dition]’ on the inside front cover, listing which pages of the full and vocal scores were sent to the publisher on which dates, and a typewritten list of characters with singers’ names added in pencil. The autograph full score is Add. 71095. Vocal score published Vienna and New York: Universal Edition, 1923. Presented by Christopher J. Timbrell, Esq., on behalf of the estate of Miss S. A. Blackwell, 15 April 1998.
