1. ff. 1-36. ‘Croagh Patrick’, cantata (words, Edward Fawcett) for alto and baritone soloists, speaker, strings and timpani; 1950, revised 1954. Full score in ink (ff. 1-21), alto part with piano reduction (ff. 22-25) and typescript of text with note on the life of St Patrick (ff. 26-36).
2. ff. 37-67. ‘Peter and the lame man’, cantata (words, Acts 3) for tenor and bass soloists, mixed chorus and orchestra; 1965-67, revised 1970. Ink full score with conductor’s markings (partially erased) in the hand of Colin Davis.
3. ff. 68-125. ‘In memoriam Jan Palach’, cantata (words, Jan Hus and Thomas à Kempis) for soprano and baritone soloists, speaker and orchestra; 1974, revised 1985.
