Autograph full score and two annotated dyeline copies:
- (1). ff. 1-26. Autograph full score, in blue ink, title-page and pp. 1-30, with brown paper covers (Chester's Circulating Music Library). Signed on f. 1 and dated 'August-September 1950' at the end of the work. Dedicated on the title-page to Anthony Bernard. Pasted-down corrections: ff. 9, 10, 11, 12 (four corrections), ff. 14, 19, 20, 21, 22 (three corrections), f. 26.
- (2). ff. 27-42. Dyeline copy of the autograph score with the exception that f. 1r is a dyeline copy of p. 1 of the published score (Chester, 1951). The dyeline copy incorporates the pasted-down corrections, but includes, in addition, several minor revisions by the composer in red ink (e.g. f. 33r). Together with the copy, there is a note (on the headed paper of Christopher Slater) stating: 'Corrections and emendations sanctioned by composer in Red' (f. 27).
- (3). ff. 43-70. Dyeline copy (cover stamped 'Chester Library) in a copyist's hand, pp. 1-54. Performance markings in pencil throughout.
