- ff. 1-5. Dyeline copy of autograph score, outer bifolium enclosing pp. [1]-[7]. Signed within the copy (p. 1), and dated 'August 1970' at the end of the work.
- ff. 6-7. Pencil draft, pp. 3-6 (Variations II -VI).
- ff. 8-11. Further pencil drafts (theme and draft of Variation I; four-page pencil draft of Variations II-IV; two-sided sketch of Variation VI (Epilogue) with draft for Variation I mostly crossed out on f. 11v).
(2). ff. 12-41. Duo for cello and piano, Op. 81, no. 1:
Autograph score, in black ink. Outer bifolium enclosing pp. 1-18 (16-stave paper, 300 x 240 mm). Signed on p. 1, and dated 'October - November 1971' at the end of the score. Front cover annotated in red ink with the name of the pianist 'Kathron Sturrock', suggesting the performance annotations in pencil are hers. Pasted-down corrections: ff. 18-20, 25. Various pencil drafts.
(3). ff. 42-53. Introduction and Allegro for double bass and piano, Op. 80 [1971]. Undated pencil draft and sketch material, beginning pp. 1-6 followed by other pages some of which are numbered.
