The text and clefs of some of the recitatives are in the handwriting of a copyst. Some of the Balli, who are missing from this MS, are in Cambridge, Fitzwilliam Museum, MS. 30 H 8, pp. 1-8. ff. 21v and 36v are ruled with staves but otherwise blank.
Points of note:
1. f. 12v. Act I. At the end of the chorus (‘Questo è il cielo’): ‘Segue il Ballo Chaccoňe ex A#’. The four dances in H-G. (pp. 19-21) are not in the MS.
2. f. 17. ‘Di te mi rido’. In F major (in H-G., p. 27 in G major).
3. ff. 20v-25v. Scene 6 in the MS., a recit. between Morgana and Oronte (Scene 7 in H-G.) is followed by a recitative (‘Vo cercando la bella’, f. 21) and air (‘Bramo di trionfar’, ff. 22-25v) for Ruggiero, forming Sc.7 in the MS., omitted in H-G. On f. 25v ‘Segue scena 8’.
4. f. 34v. At the end of ‘Tornami a vagheggiar’: ‘Balli poi Fine dell atto primo’. No dances are in the MS.
5. f. 36. Act II. At the end of Melisso’s recitative ‘…e la tua infamia vedi’ (H-G., p. 57): ‘Ruggiero Cavata Qual portento’.
6. f. 38. ‘Pensa chi geme’ (H-G., p. 59). The tempo is ‘Larghetto’.
7. f. 41. ‘Vorrei vendicarmi’. The second part (H-G., p. 66) is crossed out in pencil.
8. f. 47. An inserted leaf, with a note by F. Nicolai. The recitatives in H-G., p. 75 are missing in the MS.
9. f. 49v. Scene 7, beginning ‘Regina (not ‘Reina’ as in H-G., pp. 79 and 82) io cerco invano’ is on ff. 86, 87.
10. f. 56. An inserted leaf with a note by F. Nicolai. Scene 11 is on f. 87v.
11. f. 62v. End of Act II: ‘Balli fine dell’Atto 2do’.
12. f. 77. Act III, scene 6. From the end of the chorus (‘Sin per le vie’) until the end of the scene will be found on ff. 87v-90v.
13. f. 77v. ‘Non è amor’. The Trio has been much shortened (in ink).
14. f. 81. ‘Dall’orror’. The names of the singers of the chorus are: [Sop. 1.] ‘Str[ada], Young, Boy’; [Sop. 2.] ‘Negri, etc.’ (crossed out) ‘Carest[ini]’; [Alto 1.] ‘Negri, etc.’; [Ten. 1.] ‘Beard, Howard, Corf’; [Bass.] ‘Walls, Leveridge, Stoppelar, etc.’
15. f. 82v. At the end of the chorus: ‘Balli Entrée Tambur poi Coro ultimo’.
16. f. 83. Over the Treble line of the chorus (H-G., p. 149): ‘Hautbois colla parte’.
17. f. 84. ‘Fine dell’Opera G F Handel April 8 1735’.
18. f. 85. An inserted leaf with a note by F. Nicolai.
