1. f. 1. At the foot of the page: ‘angefangen den 26 Decembr 1737 od Montag, den 2 X tag’. ‘25’ and ‘Sontag’ are crossed out.
2. f. 7v. Act I, sc. 3. A whole page has been crossed out in Romilda’s scene ‘Un Serse mirate’ (H-G., p. 10, at the end of p. 11, line 2, bar 6).
3. f. 10. ‘Io le dirò (H-G., p. 14). The song has been much cut.
4. f. 14. Sc. 5. ‘Meglio in voi’ (H-G., p. 21). Much cut.
5. f. 21v. Sc. 10. The abbreviated Coro in H-G., p. 32 is not in the MS.
6. f. 21v. Sc. 11. The MS. shows that Amastre was originally called Eumene (see also f. 13v).
7. f. 23. ‘Più che penso’ (H-G., p. 34) is preceded by recitatives for Serse and Amastre of which the words only are written and crossed out in pencil. The whole air is shortened, both in ink and pencil.
8. f. 34. ‘Fine dell’Atto primo Jan. 9 1738’.
9. f. 34. Act II, sc. 1. ‘Speranze mie’ (H-G., p. 49); pencil cuts.
10. f. 36. A second setting of ‘Ah! chi voler fiora’ crossed out in pencil.
11. f. 47. Sc. 5. ‘È gelosia’ (H-G., p. 65). A cancelled page of another setting.
12. ff. 51v-52v. Sc. 7. Cancelled pages of another setting of ‘Quella che tutta fè’ (H-G., p. 71).
