1. ff. 1-24v. ‘As pants the hart’ (HWV 251b) (H-G. XXXIV, p. 207). f. 1: The Sonata contains some pencilled alterations by Handel. f. 13. ‘Now when I think’ (H-G., p. 220). At the top of the page: ‘Write the Bas [sic] under this Violin in the Harpeggio’. For copies see R.M.19.g.1. vol. III (ff. 37-57); Add. 2. ff. 25-42v. ‘O sing unto the Lord’ (HWV 249b) (H-G. XXXIV, p. 109). f. 41v: The final chorus (‘Let the heavens rejoice’) is followed by a Tenor solo: ‘For He cometh to judge the earth’, marked ‘Adag. e staccato’, the first page of which is crossed out. 3. ff. 43-76v. ‘Let God arise’ (HWV 256a) (H-G. XXXV, p. 211). f. 43: ‘To be played before the Symphony of the Anthem let God arise’. Marked: ‘Andante’ (crossed out) ‘ a Tempo ordinario e staccato’ (in ink); ‘Larghetto’ (in pencil). The end (from the third beat of bar 3, line 1 of H-G., p. 212) is missing (see infra, f. 51). f. 44: ‘Let God arise’. Chorus (H-G., p. 216). f. 50. At the end of the Chorus (H-G., p. 225): ‘Segue’ (the opening phrase (treble and bass) of the Allegro of the introduction) (H-G., p. 212). f. 50v. Blank. f. 51. The Allegro of the Introduction headed: ‘Ψ 68. Allegro assai’ (in ink); ‘Assai’ is rubbed out; ‘ma non presto’; ‘N 2’ (in pencil). f. 54. ‘Like as the smoak [sic] vanisheth’ (H-G., p. 225).
