Scope & Content:

Cantatas for a Single voice and Continuo. Between ff. 42 and 43 is a single leaf, ruled with staves but otherwise blank, foliated 42a; ff. 6, 12v, 27v, 30v, 39v and 50v are ruled with staves but otherwise blank. f. 24 is a small slip (possibly a former flyleaf of the volume) with a note in the hand of F. Nicolai, now mounted on a larger sheet.

1. ff. 1-6v. ‘Udite il mio consiglio’. ‘Cantata’. (HWV 173) (H-G. LI, p. 143). The MS ends with ‘fallace e scaltra’ (H-G., p. 151) on f. 6v, without ‘Fine’. The air ‘Allor che sorge’ (H-G., p. 152) is not in the MS. Author of the text unknown. For a copy see Add. MS. 14182 (ff. 35-42v).
