1. ff. 1-16v. ‘Concerto per due Violini concertini e violoncello, 2 Hautb., 2 Violini ripieno, Viola e Basso.’ (Alexander’s Feast, HWV 318) (H-G. XXI, p. 63). f. 1v: At the top (in pencil): ‘N 12’. f. 6: At the top (in pencil): ‘N 13’. f. 11: At the top (in pencil): ‘N 14’. f. 15: At the end of the Allegro (H-G., p. 78) is written faintly in pencil: ‘Biss hieher eine Zeile oben ū eine unten leer durchs ganze Concert’. f. 15v: Pencil note at the top of the Andante non presto: ‘dieses in fünff der letze satz in N 14’. f. 16: The MS agrees with H-G. as far as the double bar on p. 80. The following solo passages for the two Violins is different. Over it is faintly written in pencil ‘N 15 in zwey [war variert da sondermahl…da sondermahl…’. f. 16v: Begins at H-G., p. 82, line 2, bar 5. At the end are illegible pencil notes and (in ink) ‘January 25, 1736’. For copies see Eg. 2946 (ff. 34-45v), Add. MS. 31576 (ff. 58-59, 73-78v); R.M.19.a.1. (ff. 99v-101v).
2. ff. 17-28v. ‘Concerto Grosso. N. 1’ (Op. 6 no. 1, HWV 319) (H-G. XXX, p. 1). Parts for two Oboes (not in H-G.) are written on the two lowest lines of each page. The Basso Continuo part is marked ‘Bassi tutti’. f. 28v: ‘Fine. G. F. Handel. Sept. 29. 1739. [Here is the astrological symbol for Saturday]’.
3. ff. 29-47v. ‘Concerto Grosso N. 2’ (Op. 6 no. 2, HWV 320) (H-G. XXX, p. 16). The Oboe parts (not in H-G.) are written on the two lowest lines of each page. f.32: At the end of the Andante (H-G., p. 19): ‘Segue’ [the first notes of the Allegro]. f. 32v: Larghetto, in F minor, without Oboes, not in H-G. f. 34v: Allegro (H-G., p. 20). f. 39v: Largo (H-G., p. 25). f. 41v: ‘Allegro ma non troppo e staccato per tutto’. A shorter version of the Allegro in H-G, p. 27. Without Oboes, and crossed out in ink. f. 43v: ‘Allegro ma non troppo’ (H-G., p. 27). f. 46v: The ‘Allegro ma non troppo’ is followed by an Allegro in 12/8 time, without Oboes, printed in H-G., p. 131, as the Gigue in Concerto IX. The first page is crossed out in pencil, and ‘Fine’ written at the end of the preceding Allegro ma non troppo. f. 47v: At the end of the omitted Allegro: ‘Fine. G. F. Handel. Octobr 4. 1739. [Here is the symbol for Thursday]’.
4. ff. 48-58v. ‘Concerto Grosso. N. 3’ (Op. 6 no. 3, HWV 321) (H-G. XXX, p. 31). No Oboe parts. f. 58v: At the end of the last movement: ‘Fine. G. F. Handel. Oct. 6. 1739. [Here is the symbol for Saturday]’.
5. ff. 59-71v. ‘Concerto Grosso. N. 4’. (Op. 6 no. 4, HWV 322) (H-G. XXX, p. 46). No Oboe parts. f. 65: End of the Allegro (H-G., p. 52). f. 66: The end of the final Allegro, marked NB, from the beginning of H-G., p. 59, line 3, bar 1. At the end: ‘Fine. G. F. Handel. Octobr 8. 1739. [Here is the symbol for Monday]’. ff. 66v-70. Allegro (H-G., p. 54) down to the corresponding passage on f. 66.
6. ff. 72-75v. Concerto V. With Oboe parts. The first two movements are wanting. Begins ‘Presto’ (Op. 6 no. 5, HWV 323) (H-G. XXX., p. 66). f. 75v: Largo (H-G., p. 71), without Oboes. The rest of the Concerto is wanting.
7. ff. 76-79v. Concerto a Due Cori, in B flat major (HWV 332)(H-G. XLVII, p. 130). The first three movements are wanting. ‘Largo’ (H-G., p. 144). f. 76v: ‘A tempo ordinario’ (H-G., p. 146). f. 79: ‘Alla breve moderato’ (H-G., p. 151). Ending at the end of H-G., p. 152, line 2, bar 6. The rest is wanting. The missing parts of this Concerto are in Ad. MS. 30310, ff. 39-48.
8. ff. 80-93v. ‘Concerto Grosso. N. 6’ (Op. 6 no. 6, HWV 324) (H-G. XXX, p. 77). Parts for two Oboes are written on the two lowest lines of each page or marked in the Violin parts. f. 82v: The movement (H-G., p. 79) was originally marked ‘Allegro ma non troppo’, but this is crossed out in ink and ‘A tempo giusto’ written. f. 84: ‘Musette’. The movement has been considerably shortened (in ink). f. 89v: The Musette is followed by a Gavotte, of which only the treble and bass line are written, and the first eight bars are crossed out in ink. f. 90v: Allegro (H-G., p. 88). At the end: ‘Fine. G. F. Handel. Octobr 15. 1739. [Here is the symbol for Monday]’. f. 93v: Allegro (H-G., p. 94).
9. ff. 94-101v. ‘Concerto Grosso. N. 7’ (Op. 6 no. 7, HWV 325) (H-G. XXX, p. 95). No Oboe parts. f. 101v: At the end: ‘Fine. G. F. Handel. Octobr 12. 1739. ♀ [Friday]’.
10. ff. 102-112v. ‘Concerto Grosso. N. 8’ (Op. 6 no. 8, HWV 326) (H-G. XXX, p. 107). No Oboe parts. The Allemande has no tempo marked. ‘Allegro’ has been written originally, but altered to ‘Allemande’. f. 104: Grave (H-G., p. 109). The ‘solo’ and ‘tutti’ in H-G. are not in the MS. f. 112: At the end: ‘G. F. Handel. Octobr 18. 1739. [Here is the symbol for Thursday]’.
11. ff. 113-121v. ‘Concerto Grosso. N. 9’ (Op. 6 no. 9, HWV 327) (H-G. XXX, p. 118). No Oboe parts. f. 121v: At the end of the Larghetto: ‘Segue la Fuga ex F’.
12. ff. 122-125. The MS from here is the Overture to Imeneo (H-G. XCIII) altered to form Concerto IX. f. 122: ‘Overture. den 9 Sept. 1738. Son[n]abend’. The whole page crossed out in ink. It is not the same as the first movement of the Imeneo Overture in H-G. XCIII. f. 122v: The Allegro (Imeneo Overture), marked in pencil ‘ex F. un tono piu basso’ (H-G. XCIII, p. 2; XXX, p. 128). At the end a short movement marked ‘Lent’ is crossed out in ink: there is also a pencil cut marked for the Concerto arrangement. f. 124v: ‘Menuet’. A version of the Minuet in the Overture and Concerto, but different from both. In G; crossed out (in ink) and marked ‘NB’. f. 125: ‘Menuet’. ‘NB’. The version in the Overture (H-G., p. 4).
13. ff. 126-135. ‘Concerto Grosso. N. 10’ (Op. 6 no. 10, HWV 328) (H-G. XXX, p. 133). Without Oboes. f. 135: At the end of the Allegro (H-G., p. 146): ‘Segue’ [the first bar of the violin part of the Allegro Moderato]. At the bottom of the page: ‘G. F. Handel. Octobr 22. 1739. [Here is the symbol for Monday]’.
14. ff. 136-151v. ‘Concerto Grosso. N. 11’ (Op. 6 no. 11, HWV 329) (H-G. XXX, p. 148). Without Oboes. f. 151v: At the end: ‘G. F. Handel. Octobr 30. 1739. ♂ [Tuesday]’.
15. ff. 152-162v. ‘Concerto Grosso. N. 12’ (Op. 6 no. 12, HWV 330) (H-G., p. 168). Without Oboes. f. 158v: The Larghetto (H-G. XXX, p. 176) is headed: ‘Aria’. It evidently forms one movement with the following Variatio and Allegro. f. 162: The end of the Allegro (H-G., p. 180) is followed by an Allegro Moderato in B major, partly crossed out in pencil. It occurs (in D) with the following Variation in Concerto 10 (H-G. XXX, p 147). f. 162v: At the end of the Variation: ‘Fine. G. F. Handel. Octobr 20. 1739. [Here is the symbol for Saturday]’.
