The part of Sisera (from f. 25v onwards) is written throughout for Alto. f. i is a note in the hand of F. Nicolai; ff. 44v and 56v are ruled with staves but otherwise blank.
Points of note:
1. f. 1. The Overture is wanting. The MS. begins at H-G., p. 8.
2. f. 8v. Ends at H-G., p. 31, end of bar 3. All afterwards is missing until H-G., p. 56, line 2, bar 2, 3rd beat.
3. f. 10v. ‘The impious chief of Canaan’s host, who made’, etc. (H-G., p. 66). The MS. has ‘that made’.
4. f. 14. ‘Choirs of angels’. A copyst’s handwriting begins.
5. f. 15v. ‘To joy he brightens’. Version A (H-G., p. 77).
6. f. 16. From the beginning of H-G., p. 78, line 3, the words are in Handel’s handwriting. ‘Barak my son’. The music is written by Handel, the words by the copyist.
7. f. 16v. ‘Awake the ardour’. Music written by the copyist, words by Handel.
8. f. 18. ‘I go where Heaven’. Version A (H-G., p. 85). Music by Handel, words by the copyist. ‘All danger disdaining’ (H-G., p. 86), the whole in Handel’s autograph.
9. f. 19v. Pencil notes at the end of ‘All danger disdaining’: ‘Segue il coro let thy Deads [sic] be glorious after it segue Rec. my charge’.
10. f. 20. ‘My charge is to declare’ (H-G., p. 91).
11. f. 21. ‘Part 2d Scen 1’. ‘See, the proud chief’ (H-G., p. 93).
