ROYAL MUSIC COLLECTION. Forster (Will). The Forster Virginal Book; 1624. There is a list of contents prefaced to the volume signed by Forster and dated Jan. 31, 1624. The book is written in Forster’s hand throughout, and contains 80 compositions for the virginal, some being compositions by Ward adapted in short score from sacred vocal pieces.
