PETTY PAPERS. VOL. X. Letterbook of John Petty about Petty's Irish affairs; 28 March-15 Aug. 1671. Copies in more than one clerical hand. The title-page reads 'Entry of Letters since March 29th 1671', with 'to the 15th of August 1671' added in Sir William Petty's hand. Most of the letters are dated from Dublin and several are addressed to Sir William Petty during his absences in England, as well as to other correspondents. John Petty died in Sept. 1671 and his place was partly taken by Thomas Waller, whose letterbooks follow. With a brief index of subjects by [6th Marquess of Lansdowne?] (f. 47).
