PETTY PAPERS. VOL. XI. Letterbook of Thomas Waller, Petty's brother-in-law, about his Irish affairs; 23 Dec. 1671-10 July 1675. Copies in several clerical hands. Waller took over the function of John Petty after the latter's death. Many of the letters are addressed to Petty, others to and from agents in Kerry, although names are seldom given. ff. iii + 133. Continuously paginated in red ink (1-264) by the 6th Marquess of Lansdowne, who has also added an index of names and subjects on the rear end-paper. Originally three letter-books, rebound by Phillipps in one cover in red morocco and purple cloth over boards. 325 x 220mm.
