The latter is a list of public events or policies; the former of Petty's own projects, including a survey of lands and hands, transplantation of the Irish population and a union of England and Ireland, reform of the militia, navy and sea trade, the multiplication of the population, the increase in public revenue, the reform of Chancery and other courts, the establishment of liberty of conscience, a land registry, a general council or 'vox populi', a bank and coinage, alliance with France and Denmark, a plague hospital, academies for mathematics and mechanics, provision for the poor, projects for highways, rivers and postage.
